Co-living & homestay is a modern form of communal living in which residents get a private bedroom in a furnished home with shared common areas, and usually involves a mid to long-term stay. It is a form of hospitality and lodging that define the phrase a ‘home away from home’, allowing you to meaningfully connect with locals (host) and/or individuals with similar values or intentions.
Utilities are covered up to a capped amount, and the package includes Wi-Fi and weekly cleaning of the common areas by the landlord. Landlords are required to mention any such fees clearly in the property description.
The minimum stay is 3 months for condos and landed properties. For HDB and Executive Condominiums (EC) that have not fulfilled their Minimum Occupation Period (MOP), the minimum stay is 6 months.
BerthConnect will provide you with a checklist to complete, which includes submitting a valid pass along with any documents that verify your pass, such as an enrollment letter or work placement letter.
